Overview

The stress associated with divorce is one of the most difficult challenges that an individual will experience in their lifetime. The path that an individual chooses during this transition will not only decide the amount of stress that the person will experience during this process, but will also dictate how that individual manages their life moving forward.

We can provide mediation for:

  • Divorce (with or without children)
  • Time-Sharing Plan
  • Child Support Calculations
  • Paternity
  • Relocation
  • Post-divorce issues
  • Modification of child support and/or alimony

How Does Pro Se Mediation Works?

The parties hire one person – an impartial mediator – to assist both parties in identifying the family law issues that need to be addressed and then help the parties explore solutions as to how to resolve those issues. After the parties reach an agreement, the mediator drafts the Agreements. In order for the mediator to draft the Agreement all the outstanding issues must be agreed to and accepted by both parties. The parties then sign and file the Agreements with the Court and the Court schedules a Final Hearing for the divorce/paternity case to be finalized. Pro se mediation is, therefore, the least expensive divorce/paternity assisted alternative. The key component to mediation is that the final resolution is determined by the parties themselves rather than being imposed by a judge.
